These Lofts at Union Square Wedding Photos came up for blogging today and I’m really glad to share this beautiful North Carolina wedding. High Point is small, but has a lot to off all the couples out there looking for a modern loft wedding, right in the city without the hassle of the city itself.
The beautiful part of a High Point wedding is that during the week, High Point is happening! The furniture industry is doing it’s thing, textiles, and samples and buyers from stores around the world make their way up and down the streets. But on the weekends, the hustle and bustle dies down a bit, and allows for a beautiful city experience.
The Lofts at Union Square is a beautiful old building with huge windows, polished cement floors and the most amazing cement column centering the ceremony room. It’s pretty great. I love the contrast of the old window panes with the white columns. They’re definitely a beautiful focal point from which to anchor a ceremony.
And as for the style of wedding you can have, the Lofts are definitely geared toward an industrial look. But the ceremony room and the reception room is a less industrial and more italian piazza in style. So while you might like an industrial feel, you can definitely keep that, and add european industrial flair, or a Southern Industrial flair. These Lofts at Union Square wedding photos definitely tend toward the latter.
Southern Industrial takes the architectural best of the mid century South, and marries it with the modern presentation of an up and coming city like High Point. Early to mid century buildings are juxtaposed with new modern buildings of up and coming furniture designers. The result is a beautiful scene of old and new from the windows.
Alex and Doug saw the beauty of this space and made it their own, creating a souther industrial wedding that incorporated their loves of Marvel and DC comics, the Walking dead, and a rollicking party with friends and family.
